how to fix dark initials on leather?

this is my first time buying a genuine leather bag
I bought it for my boyfriend online and paid $15 to have his initials laser engraved on nearby store.
The guy made it sound super easy, but the result is so dark you can barely see the letters unless the light hits it just right!
Is there anything I can do to make those initials stand out more? Should I contact a saddlery guy in town with good reviews?

You can also try lightly rubbing a leather cream or wax in a lighter shade over the letters to see if it highlights them.

If it doesn't work, just contact the saddlery guy in your area.

If you want a quick DIY fix, look for a tiny tube of Rub n Buff (it’s a metallic wax)
just rub a tiny bit into the letters and wipe away the excess. A silver or gold finish would look amazing and make those initials pop without damaging the leather

It depends on how it looks, there are a lot of brands that engrave dark on dark and still look classy. If you really don't like how it eded up looking, go ahead and contact someone in your area.
