I recently got a Levi cowhide jacket and I want to try decorating it with champagne foil leaf. I am interested in how this foil holds up on items like jackets or boots that have to bend and flex when you wear them. I want to make sure the foil does not crack or peel off as soon as I move my arms. And I would love to hear from anyone who has used this technique on leather before. It would be great to see some photos of your work to understand the best way to apply the adhesive. I am looking for any advice on how to keep the finish looking smooth and durable over time.

@saja boi just a heads up. even with the best application, gold or champagne leaf on leather will eventually develop a patina or fine spiderweb cracking
a lot of people like this, though. because it makes the jacket look vintage rather than painted

You should try a small test patch on a hidden part of the jacket like the inside of the collar before doing the whole back.
