I made my first bifold about two years ago and it came out... functional. The edges were sloppy because I didn't bevel before burnishing, the stitching was inconsistent in the corners and I used too thick a hide for the card slots so it barely closed. But I learned more from that wallet than from anything I read beforehand. The do-overs will be to choose a 2-3 oz leather for thin sections, bevel every edge before anything else and do a dry assembly with clips before committing to stitching. Also, dye before you assemble, not after. Trust me on that last one.
