Hunting down wallet patterns (and maybe a little inspiration)

The problem is, I get stuck in the same loop, either I find the super basic bifold that everyone has made a thousand times, or I stumble across something overly complicated with thirty pieces and exotic inlays. I'm after clean lines, clever layout, and something that actually makes you want to carry it every day.
I've been sketching a few ideas of my own, thinking about a slim front pocket style with a hidden cash slot, maybe even a card sleeve with a curved cut for easy access. But I'd still love to see some inspirations
Half the fun of this craft is chasing ideas and turning them into something you can hold in your hand, so I'm all ears for sources, patterns, or even just design inspiration!

Snap some shots of wallets you'd actually carry. Figure out what makes them work for you, usually it's how the size and pockets fit together, not just flashy stuff

Another angle you might try is looking at vintage wallet patterns in old Tandy or Al Stohlman books, since many of those designs were built for daily wear and can be adapted with modern leather or slimmer cuts. Are you leaning toward a bifold or a front‑pocket style as your starting point?

If I can find the pattern I received from a Japanese gentleman last year I was wanting to make I will post it the pattern it is so cool that even when sitting on it in your back pocket you don’t feel the little change fold in the center of the wallet he says I gotta make this thing.
