Intro

[Old Gringo]

Hi. Currently in Oregon.. My name is Larry aka "Old Gringo". Most of the leather work I do is for functional items...shooting bags, pouches, scabbards, sheaths. I guess most of us here fall in that category. I am starting on sporran making soon. Considering putting together a modern long hunters kit; haversack, shooting bag, knives (patch and long knife), hawk. Haven't done much tooling but I have been looking at some interesting leather armor patterns. I have done some gunsmithing...pre-rev rifles, a couple of Brown Bess and a pistol or two. All flinters. I have enjoyed every minute of every project. May not have thought so at the time, but it has been great fun. Oh, I play the bagpipes.
