Consew 111w155 estate sale find

I just got a Consew 111w155 at an estate sale for only $350. It belonged to an upholsterer who is no longer with us. It came with a clutch motor and some starter stuff. The machine looks like it's in good shape, but I could use some tips on setting it up for sewing leather. Any advice?

Pick 135x17 needles for thick hides, or 135x16 ones for soft ones. Also, you use Tex 70 or 90 bonded nylon or polyester thread, just like they use for upholstery.

Don't forget to add a drop of oil in the right spots before each session to help keep it smooth. And also make sure the presser foot pressure is adjusted so it feeds evenly without marking the surface.
