Anyone knows about Singer 660A?

I am looking for a leather sewing machine and I found a "Singer 660a" for sale nearby. I have done a lot of searching but I can't find any information about this model online.

The owner says it belonged to his grandfather who used it for making quivers out of vegetable-tanned leather. I work with both garment and upholstery leather and would love for it to handle some veg tan too. Does anyone know anything about the Singer 660 series? Is it a needle feed or a walking foot machine and is it a good choice for the type of leather I want to sew? Any help would be appreciated.

@fluffyman idk man, there's very little information about the Singer 660a for leatherwork because it likely isn't the correct model number.
The model numbers for industrial and heavy duty Singers are often in the hundreds or thousands (like a 111W or 211G).
I think the owner might have the number wrong or it could be a different type of machine.
probably the owner can send you the picture of the full model plate or serial number on the machine's body. That will be the key to identifying what it actually is

I have an old Singer industrial machine that a seamstress gave me when she retired, and couldn't find a manual for it ANYWHERE. Finally discovered that the model number on the brass tag was for the head and heavy commercial stand/motor, sold as a combined unit, and the head itself was actually a different model number than on the brass tag. I can't tell you the actual model number, as I have a four-foot high pile of uniforms lyinng on it right now, but a 1XX something. Manual said it could sew a pile of blankets up to one inch thick.

Singer 660a might have been used by a skilled individual on light leather, it's not the right tool for the job you want to do and will likely cause frustration and inconsistent results. Much better to invest in a machine with a walking foot to get the results you're looking for with the variety of leather you plan to use.

I have been checking online and here's what I found out. there are also Singer 660 A1 and A2 models.

I might pass on getting this machine given that I don;t have the information I need. Can anyone suggest another model that has an easy to find manual or video tutorial online? I’m looking for a heavy duty option.
