I just installed a brand new servo motor and I have no experience with these but the noise it is making does not sound right to me.
At low speeds, the motor makes a noticeable grinding noise, and that sound gets louder as I put more load on it. But once the speed goes over about 700 rpm, the noise almost disappears entirely. Is that kind of noise normal for a new servo motor, especially under a low load? Also, the minimum speed is 400 rpm and it only seems to change in big jumps, like 400 or 500 rpm with nothing in between. I can't get a smooth speed change. Is that normal for these kinds of motors or is there a setting I need to adjust?
