Oil treat.end for moccasins

Has the leather dried out over the years or is it a new project that you just want to soften up some to wear them now? And is the leather made from? cowhide, deer, elk, moose, bison and etc. Light colored or dark already?

What is a good oil to soften the uppers of moccasins
Howdy Steve, this is what I use on my mocs, as well as plenty of other leather items, works great. Here's the product's name, ingredients and description. Ray Holes Saddle Butter ingredients include beeswax, Brazilian carnauba wax, tallow, and pure neatsfoot oil. This formula uses only pure animal or plant products, containing no modern synthetics or mineral oils that can damage fine leather over time. The combination of these natural ingredients helps to clean, condition, and protect leather items like saddles, boots, and holsters from sun, sweat, and wet weather. In addition, it will make your upper mocs nice and soft; been using this stuff for years. It does darken the leather a bit.

I agree with @Hel1um.dude. Those are good choices.

Just make sure to apply lightly with a cloth, let it absorb, and repeat as needed rather than soaking the leather all at once.
