My dad has a shoulder holster with some twisted rods. Anyone know how these things go together or have tips on fixing it? this is an old holster and has cracks in it as well. thinking of restoring it as well. how do I go about this? any help is appreciated!

Im not a pro but i would suggest gently straightening them with a rubber mallet and a vise or soft-jaw pliers if you want to avoid breaking them or find replacement rods of shape new ones at the hardware store from aluminum or mild steel rod stock.

You could try gently cleaning the holster with leather conditioner, then assess the cracks...for the twisted rods, look for manufacturer instructions or consult a professional leatherworker for restoration tips

FOr the cracks, there are leather fillers and repair compounds available. These require careful application and blending so do your research first

Can restore it with leather fillers. You can get some from eBay or Amazon or something. Some pros do a version of their own that they sell with their own branding, so you might wanna check those out. I don't got any exact name in mind though.
