I'm trying to compare the finish to 794 triangle points before I commit to a set. If you have any side by side examples, book recommendations, or links that show the difference in leather or heavy fabric, please drop them below!
 
the triangle points are awesome for punching through thick leather. They make bigeven holes and don’t bend easily. If your threads are too light, you might see some gaps around the stitches.

If you are looking for a visual guide, try looking for the stitch charts from Schmetz or Groz Beckert. they show exactly how each needle point cuts and how the thread sits.

You might want to save those triangle points for tougher jobs like harnesses or tack. For something more polished, twist points give you that nice Frenchstyle angle.
