I have this Singer 29K71 that was handed from generations of our family. I was told it was built a long time ago in Scotland sometime Centennial 1851 to 1951 badge and for over 50 years with our family. Recently, my daughter said she was interested in sawing doing leatehr works too. So we pulled the machine from the attic and gave it a a spa day and my daughter loved it. We checked for tutorials online because I have not been sawing for a long time. I just loved the my daughter is into sawing and leatherwork and I hope she gets to use this machine and pass it on to her children one day.

I'm familiar that the 29K71 is an amazing machine. it's that iconic crank operated patcher with the unique free arm that lets you sew in tight corners and hard to reach spots (perfect for boots and bags).
It’s completely different from modern flatbed machines! Tell your daughter to search for tutorials on the "Singer Patcher" or "Singer 29K". She’ll find a ton of info on how to get it running smoothly for leather

That is so sweet. A skill passed on generation to generation. I hope she loves and enjoys swing and leathercraft and pass it on to the next generation. That sewing machine is an heirloom.
