I have been using Leathercraft CAD for my patterns and it is a fantastic tool but I ran into a frustrating issue with my stitch lines. When I try to set my holes at exactly 3.38mm for my pricking irons the software often stretches or shrinks the spacing to fit the line length perfectly. This means my holes do not actually match my physical tools because the program is using an auto pitch setting to avoid partial stitches at the ends. To fix this you need to find the stitching tool menu and look for the checkbox labeled auto pitch. If you uncheck that and switch to fixed pitch instead the software will respect your 3.38mm measurement exactly along the entire line. This might leave you with a partial stitch at the corner but it is much better for ensuring your 3D design actually works with your real world chisels. Anyone else using CAD here?
