Sharpening is a constant task apparently

I used to think my head knife was junk because it would skip and pull instead of cutting smoothly. It turns out I just needed to strop it every ten minutes to keep that razor edge. A dull knife is actually more dangerous because you have to push harder and you lose control. Do you guys sharpen your own tools on stones or do you just use a strop with some green polishing compound?

Every sharp tool has two modes... slicing beautifully or reminding you it needs attention five minutes ago.

Strop for quick touch-ups, stones for real sharpening. I usually use both depending on how dull it’s gotten.
