Hey guys, so I've been getting more serious about my leatherwork and I'm ready to upgrade from my small tabletop machine. I mostly do bags and wallets, so I need something that can handle thicker leather and multiple layers without bogging down. I came across a used Pfaff 145-1B H2L for sale locally. It looks well-maintained but I have yet to make a closer inspection. The seller is asking $1800. It comes with a table and a servo motor. I've heard these are solid machines, but I'm a little hesitant because of the age and the price. Is this a fair price for one in good condition? What are some things I should look out for when I go to inspect it? Any advice from those who've used this model would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for all your help!

$1,800 isn't unreasonable for one in good shape with a table and servo motor.
When inspecting, test stitching through thick leather, check the walking foot movement, make sure the servo motor runs smoothly, and finally confirm the stand is sturdy enough
