Pissed that I always have to check my leather couch for mold. For reference I live in Louisiana, so you get the humidity.

I'm sick of this and really didn't find any actual, working solution over the internet. How do you do it? And how do you do it calmly?

What's the best way to completely stop this from happening?

You don't, not completely at least not in Louisiana, humidity is a full time job, the best you can do is fight it hard with dehumidifier running 24/7 near the couch, ceiling fan on, and try not to have your couch right up against the wall.

From what I know, mold on leather is tough to beat. Try to use a dehumidifier, m,ake sure to keep airflow good and clean then condition the leather regularly. Controlling moisture is the only way to stop it..

If you're fighting mold on leather in Louisiana, it's not about cleaning, it's about admitting that leather furniture just doesn't belong in swamp air, maybe the real fix is switching to something that breathes better.
