I'm probably a rookie to this leather thing but I've always wanted to create something special. Now that i have found a little bit of time for that i would like to start with easier things like belts (or at least i think they're easier to do). I've heard that cobra class 26 is a great machine for leather but i would like to hear opinions here.

Alright, rookie or not, you're thinking straight starting with belts, it gives clean lines, not too many curves, and you get to learn the basics without going insane and also the cobra class is a good choice but only gripe? It ain't cheap, and it takes some dialing in.

The Cobra Class 26 is a rock solid choice for leatherwork, especially for beginners tackling projects like belts. Its very reliable, and such a heavy duty machine that can handle thicker leather without much hassle, and its known for its smooth stitching. Though if you're looking for a more budget friendly option, the Singer 4411 Heavy Duty is another great choice.

My fav part here is the machine, its a real beast for what it does but the only thing you may hear is that it maybe overkill for just belts, but my personal take about that is that its people that dont plan ahead that end up saying that cos you wouldn't want to buy another machine when you start going deeper

The Cobra Class 26 is definitely the best option for you I mean it maybe a bit pricey, but it'll last and handle thicker leather. If budget is tight though, the Singer 4411 is a sweet backup that won't let you down either. :)

Totally agree, the Cobra Class 26 is a great long-term investment if you want durability and the ability to handle thicker leather. But the Singer 4411 is a fantastic, budget-friendly backup that can still tackle most leather projects without any drama.

@CatWoman
What kind of leather thickness or projects are you thinking about starting with?
